Representation Agreement

What this agreement means and what to expect before signing?

We want to update you on recent regulatory changes in Texas that affect how we work together, effective August 2024. Due to these industry-wide updates, we are now required to formalize our partnership through a signed representation agreement.

It’s important to emphasize that this requirement . As always, we remain fully committed to acting in your best interest, representing your needs, and maintaining open and transparent communication throughout the process. You are also free to terminate our engagement at any time.

This document is part of our process and is intended to ensure clarity, transparency, and fairness for all parties.

Why is this important?

As buyers, you typically do not pay our commission directly. In most cases, our fee is paid in full by the seller or landlord.

In the rare case where the seller does not cover the commission, we will let you know in advance, so you can price that into the offer / lease agreement.

Why is a representation agreement required?

1. Regulatory compliance

Due to regulatory changes that went into effect in July 2024, and following an industry- wide settlement, this form has become required in most cases (if not all).

2. Fairness

For our clients: This agreement ensures you know in advance what our service includes. We are not permitted to receive any compensation beyond what is defined in this agreement.

For our agents: We invest time, availability, and full commitment in our clients, while providing complete transparency and professional guidance throughout the process.

At-Will Commitment

Austin Connections Group provides premium service based on a flexible commitment, and we choose to work with clients who want to work with us. In the unlikely event that you decide to end the engagement for any reason, we simply ask that you notify us in writing, and the agreement will be formally terminated within 24 hours.
